Why have a home energy audit and improvements?

Why should Landlords have home energy audits carried out on their properties?

Current MEES (Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards) state that rented properties must have a minimum EPC rating of E with plans to raise this to an EPC rating of C by 2030. We can help you to comply.
Our home energy audit will identify a number of ways of achieving MEES in the most cost effective and practical way possible.
We have qualified Airtightness testers who can carry out an airtightness test at your properties, the results of this can be inputted into the EPC software, which often increases the EPC score.
We can provide you with all the documentary evidence needed to meet MEES compliance.
Our improvements will increase your properties value and appeal to potential tenants.

What happens during a home energy audit?

We can arrange for a home energy audit to be carried out at your home at a time to suit you.

One of our qualified domestic energy assessors will attend your property to conduct a thorough assessment looking at all areas of your property from the floors, walls and roof space to the heating system and everything in between! As part of the assessment, we will produce an energy performance certificate which will show you how efficient your home is currently. Shortly after the assessment a member of our team will be in touch with the results and will send across a tailored improvement package highlighting the most efficient ways of improving your home!

The cost of a home energy audit is £180 (plus VAT) but this is fully refunded if you choose to go ahead with one of our improvement packages and once the works are completed we will call back to carry out a post install assessment and provide you with an updated energy performance certificate.
